I am a Humanistic Therapist

What is Humanistic Therapy? Well, Humanistic Therapy is focused towards yourself-development, growth and recognition of your strengths, creativity and choice in the “here and now”. I can offer you a safe, supportive space where, together, we will explore you and your potential. Ultimately, working towards developing your own personal growth – mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Humanistic therapy (also referred to as person-centred therapy) is a client-led style of therapy looking at an individual’s self-worth and values.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy. It is a common treatment for a range of mental health problems. CBT teaches you coping skills for dealing with different problems. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions.

Existential Therapy

Focusing on exploring the meaning of certain issues from a philosophical perspective. this approach is often helpful and can be helpful in exploring existential crises and anxieties. This type of therapy primarily searches for meaning in life and strives to help individuals develop their sense of self-determination. It differs from basic humanistic therapy by focusing on the search for meaning and free will that allows you to make decisions about the direction you want to take in your life.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens. Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Together we can work on Mindfulness techniques that will help you in everyday life.
